Hello!

Well I am trying something new! I really have no idea how this site works, but I am determined to learn. Any hints and/or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying anything to get my name out there. I am a stay at home mom and I am in the process of starting my own business. I love to design and it has come out in the way of sewing. My mom taught me the basics of sewing and bought me a sewing machine for Christmas one year when I was in college. I have used it a handful of times until October. Since then I have gotten my money out of my cheap little machine. :) I have so many ideas running through my head and not enough time or income to get them done. I have no training in fashion design so I am learning as I go. I do have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and a minor in Fashion Merchandising, but no fashion design. I don't use patterns, just my head. But I haven't been this happy with a "job" since I started working. Of course more income from it would be wonderful. Please visit www.swirly-girlz.com and see what you think. I want feedback. What do you like? What would you like to see more in little girls clothing? I have 3 little girls of my own and I just want stylish clothes for a good price. Why is it that when the clothes get cuter they get more expensive? I want almost anyone to be able to enjoy my clothing. If that means selling a dress for $25 instead of $40, so be it! I believe if I start my company on the right foot with Christian beliefs and great customer service I will succeed!

I was a 4th grade teacher for 3 years before I decided to stay home with my precious angels. I went to work as a teacher when my oldest daughter Hailey was 6 months old. I worked for 2 years and then I had my 2nd daughter, Kaedyn. I stayed home the next year with my then 2 year old and newborn. Then I got a crazy idea to go back to work when I was 6 months pregnant with my 3rd. My thought process was I would work until she was born in November, stay home for 3 months on maternity leave, then go back to work for 3 months. It kind of worked except I hated my job and was miserable. So, I decided nothing was worth that. I stayed home again this year. I guess you could say I work every other year. :) But I have really found my gift with sewing children's clothing. This is it! My answer to prayers. I can stay home with my kids and still make money. So, this is going to be like a journal of how I succeed. Wish me luck!
